Walk for a Bloke – Matthew Lamprey

This is a call out to all men, to grab a mate and get along to Walk for a Bloke in Devonport on March 22.

Bryan and I are bringing Walk for a Bloke to Devonport and it is also coming to Launceston & Hobart for the first time this year as well, giving Tassie 3 of the 19 locations worldwide.

We are feeling passionate to do this because we both know from our own experiences the importance and value in connection and support when navigating the challenges life throws at us!

At the heart of Walk for a Bloke, is the major annual fundraiser and a powerful 25km walk that brings men together to raise awareness, promote physical well-being, and foster connections. Participants find a supportive space where they can share openly, listen, and support one another. Beyond physical activity, it’s an opportunity to normalize conversations around mental health, strengthen friendships, and build a sense of community. Since inception in 2021 this event has grown from one location and 120 walkers to seven locations and 952 walkers in 2024, now with a massive 19 locations and a walk anywhere option confirmed for 2025.

We are actively seeking partnerships with organisations that align with our mission and values. Together, we can make a measurable impact in the lives of countless men and their families. Sponsorship levels are flexible to fit your objectives and range from Bronze to Platinum. Further details regarding sponsorship can be found in the attached partnership document. Please reach out directly if you would like to discuss sponsorship opportunities.

At Spoke to a Bloke Incorporated, we are dedicated to improving men’s mental wellness by fostering community connection and building resilience. Through initiatives like Walk for a Bloke, we generate crucial funds for mental health projects that support blokes in our community.

Walk for a Bloke isn’t just another fundraiser—it’s a powerful platform for men to come together, this event acts as a form of preventative care, encouraging physical activity while creating opportunities for mateship and a safe space where blokes can openly share, listen, and support each other.More information is available on the website: https://www.spoketoabloke.org/walk-for-a-bloke
